When we got home from dropping off Gordon, my mother was sitting on the couch waiting for me and my dad to come home.
"Is it gone," she asked, "are we safe?"
"Yes, HE is gone and that is my friend you are talking about." I snapped back.
"How could you be friends with something like that?" she asked with disbelieve in her tone.
"I am not going to sit here and let you insult him like that I am going to my room." I said; I was pissed at my mom for saying that so I left and went downstairs. I heard my parents started talking upstairs but I couldn't make out what they were saying. Then my father came down.
"Please excuse your mother," he said, "she seems to be in shock of recent events. So tell me exactly what happened." I told him about the project, the rock and him transforming. "Wow, that doesn't sound like fun." he stated.
"He seemed to be in a lot of pain when it was happening." I replied to him.
"I think your mother will have to learn to except them as a person as time goes on, but for now I think you should lay off the talk about dragons near her." He told me. I nodded in agreement and he went back upstairs. I went through the game room and through the basement hallway and went in my room. I just sat down and went on deviant art. I answer the post my friends put and then went on Bungie.net to check my group. After that I went on Uncyclopedia and answered some forums and voted on some great pictures. Ha There was a picture of Edgar Allan Poe but his head was the Teletubbie Po. So I voted for that picture. After that I started writing the Wilcome Industries story I was working on. At about nine o'clock I turned on the discovery channel and I saw something interesting. There was a program on dragons. I laughed at the irony and continued to watch it. When it was over I went to bed and started to think what will happen tomorrow for today was Sunday.
The next day I was awoken at 6:30 by my alarm. I didn't have to get up till seven but I usually lie on my bed for thirty minuets to wake up fully. I got out of bed when my alarm rang at seven o'clock again. The morning was nothing special I got up and found my younger 10 year old brother munching away at his cereal. I wondered where he was during this commotion and remembered he was with my brother at my aunts until eight o'clock las night. I got some waffles and turned on the weather network and all I took in was it was going to be freaking freezing and sunny. I eat my waffles backed a ham sandwich and brushed my teeth. It was 7:50 when I was done and my dad got up.
"Ready to go?" he asked
"Almost just need to pack my bag." I replied. I got what I needed and we got in my dad's envoy and left for school. We actually arrive before most of the buses got there; that was a first. I got out and headed to the port-o-pack. When I got there there i didn't see any riots, mobs, or witch-hunts so I assumed Gordon wasn't here yet. I went to my locker and saw my friend Mackenzie G.
"I lost the game!" I said as my usual greeting. Mackenzie just shook his fist at me.
"Curse you William!" I heard from down the hall. It was my other friend Matthew F.
"Good to see you to Matthew!" I called back. Matthew came over and joined the conversation.
"Did you see that program on dragons, William?" he asked me. I coughed at first.
"Um, Yes I did." I told him, "Wouldn't it be cool if a dragon came to our school?" I said trying to cause some irony when Gordon came.
"I guess... Mackenzie what would you do if a stone broke on you?" Matthew asked him.
"I think I would be very angry at the person who threw it." he replied.
"Mackenzie, did you even see the show about dragons?" I asked. He shook his head. "It was a great show and I think Gordon saw it as well." I said as I silently chuckled to myself. Then I saw Nathan come. " Hey Nathan, I lost!"
"I won!" he replied.
"What did you win?" I asked him.
"I forgot." he called back. This was his joke every time I told him I lost.
"Did you see the show on dragons last night?" I asked him.
"You mean the one on the discovery channel?" he asked back.
"I will take that as a yes." I said. He always watches everything on the channel. "What did you think?"
"I think it is messed up," he said, "people getting turned into dragons against there will just so that the dragon population will grow."
"I sill remember that fateful July day when I turned on the news and they were interviewing a dragon." I said. "I didn't even know they exist and then they are interviewing him."
"And he was all the way in Missouri." Matthew said cutting into the conversation, "I wouldn't have know they would come to Canada or that there were already dragons in Canada!"
"Personally I thought it was too cold." Nathan said. Then we could hear screams from outside. "What the hell what is going on out there?"
"Maybe there are dragons terrorizing the students." I said with a smirk for I knew it must be Gordon. Then the port-o-pack doors opened and I could see Gordon there with only pants that looked to small for him on. Most people were just frozen on spot when he came in. "Hey Gordon I lost!" I shouted at him
"Damn it will. I lost too." He replied. Now most people were afraid and confused.
"What, the, F***, Gordon, What did you eat?" Nathan asked him.
"It wasn't something I ate! I crushed this stone..." Gordon started.
"And started sniffing it?" he asked him.
"F*** you no! it sort of became scales and began covering my body." he told him. Then the first bell rang. My teacher for first period wasn't here yet. So I waited. Then I saw Mackenzie R. Walk in the door.
"Oh my f*** god, There is a dragon in the school!" She exclaimed.
"Technically we are not in the school, we are in the Port-o-pack." I I remarked.
"That's not the point!" she screamed back, "Why is it here."
"Because I go to school here." Gordon said.
"What!? How are you!?" she asked while still panicking. I saw some of the teachers poke their heads out of their classrooms to see what the commotion was. I could see the closest one's face turn pale.
"Mackenzie, it's me Gordon." he said calmly. Then I could see Mr. L (as I will call him.) Come through the door.
"Sorry I'm late," he said before looking at Gordon. "Holy Jumpin' Catfish Moroni, a dragon!"
"Hello sir." Gordon replied.
"Have we met before?" Mr. L asked him.
"I helped with the wrestling mats and I'm in Mr. T's gym class, right next to yours." Gordon replied. (when he says Mr. T it is not the actor.)
"I don't think I remember." Mr. L said.
"It's ok sir," he said, with a smile on his muzzle "teachers over look me anyways."
"Ok then I think you should better get to class." Mr. L said with a smile on his face as well. Me and Nathan went into Mr. L's class room and then eventually came Mackenzie R. We sat down and the whole class was silent from the fact there was a dragon in the port-o-pack. Then the second bell rang and we all stood up for Oh Canada play's right after it. When it was over there was a prayer and then some announcements. Something about boys hockey, something about choir and that the computers are down. Since the computers were down Mr. L had to do attendance by hand. And he needed someone to bring it to the office.
"William, can you bring this down?" he asked me.
"Sure." I grabbed it and headed down to the office that is when I saw a face I thought I was never going to see again. It was Melissa, Gordon's Girlfriend.
